Tuxuunga Indigenous Peoples Day: The Sacred Elements
Join us for a powerful day of culture, ceremony, music, and community at the 5th Annual Tuxuunga Indigenous Peoples Day, held in the heart of Big Tujunga Canyon — ancestral homeland of the Tongva people. This year’s theme, “The Sacred Elements,” honors the vital forces of Water, Air, Earth, and Fire through traditional and contemporary Indigenous expressions. The celebration brings together artists, elders, knowledge-keepers, and families in a vibrant gathering rooted in reverence, resistance, and renewal.
