Virtual Gathering with Tima Link

On Sunday, May 1 at 10 am we have a special virtual gathering with Tima Link (@timaoutside) a member of the California Indian Basketweavers’ Association and the 2012 Best in Show Winner at the Autry American Arts Marketplace for her basketry.

ABOUT TIMA
Tima Link
is an Art Director who specializes in designing for community and culture-based publications, exhibits, public spaces, and online experiences. Her goal is to create deeper, healthier relationships between people and the environment.

Tima is also a Shmuwich Chumash cultural educator and traditional textile artist. She lectures and teaches for non-profits, educational institutions, and governmental agencies on the environmental and cultural history of California.

Tima was awarded a 2017 Emmy for her work on the KCET series Tending the Wild, received the First People’s Fund 2017 Community Spirit Award for her years as a cultural educator, and is featured in the book California Indian Baskets: San Diego to Santa Barbara and Beyond to the San Joaquin Valley, Mountains and Deserts (Vol 2).
